Being an avid advocate of game-based learning, it is my philosophy that any student will receive vital skills to understand, design, and create tools to overcome any challenge that they face.
Within an educational setting, students should be always encouraged to exploit their own imagination, and I firmly believe that the best way to level up their skills is through playing and fun.
This is the reason why my main tool for teaching is: videogames.
While my decision to pursue a career in teaching was something that came as a surprise, I'm very happy and glad to have known that this is a great way to make a positive impact on the lives of many students with the ambition of fulfilling their biggest dreams.
As a teacher, it is important to mention that I'm always learning, which is also a way of connecting with the students since we are together in this education journey.
I have been an instructor in a variety of schools across different education levels, such as Universidad Anahuac Mayab, Visual College of Art and Design, University of British Columbia: Game Development student club division, Langara College and iCAMP Education Academy.
Additionally, I've had the honor of volunteering as a mentor in schools and events such as The Global Game Jam, Women Game Jam, and Choice School for the Gifted.
Eventually, I have had the opportunity to design the curriculum and syllabus of a variety of courses and programs across different schools.

I have been able to use a variety of educational tools such as Unreal Engine, Minecraft: Education Edition, Unity, Maya, 3Ds Max, GitHub, and Adobe Suite. Moreover, I like to make my own class material using PowerPoint mostly.
